The
Africa Desk's main emphasis in 2002 was on capacity-building.
This included:
A management
training seminar for 30 young leaders from 10 countries of the
FOCCISA sub-region.
A consultation
on ownership and sustainability of churches and councils of
churches in Africa, attended by representatives of WCC member
churches, Roman Catholic and Pentecostal churches.
In cooperation
with overseas partners and funding agencies, developing common
standards for accounting/reporting within round tables.
Working with
churches and church councils to form a fellowship in French-speaking
Central Africa.
