"Dear Rev. Dr R. Edgar
The sad news of the horrific tragedies that hit New York and Washington have sent shock waves to many a community including ourselves here in africa. We have watched and listened to the news of the effects of the tragedy with disbelief. I am sure that many of us are yet to come to terms with what all this means and will mean in future.
Once again we have witnessed the evil force that constantly threatens to instill fear, hatred and conflict amongst and between people. On behalf of the african churches which are congregating in different parts to pray and be in solidarity with you, I would like to assure you that we are with you. This is a difficult time for you and we are praying. This morning the churchs in Kenya held public prayer in Uhuru Park in Nairobi. Similar efforts are taking place in other countries and terror. As churches and Christians from Africa, our earnest prayer is that we will accompany you as you seek to resolve the tragedy.
May the grace, peace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you at this difficult moment.
Yours faithfully
Dr. Agnes Abuom
